Here at Bad Craft Motors we are always tossing our phone onto the dashboard shelf. Its an easy place to throw your phone and it doesn't slide around or get lost. That was about as good as we could ask for in 2002 when they were finalizing the element. Whelp, its been 19 years now and a lot has changed. We wanted to update our interior accoutrements to make our lives easier and more enjoyable, so what if that phone shelf had a wireless charger in it?
Well, it wasn't that hard to pull off so we made this easy to install kit to share the wireless charging love with our fellow Element adventurers. We utilize a 15w charger to place us squarely on the cutting edge of wireless charging technology. It has an oversized charging coil to make finding the charge zone a breeze (its practically as large as the center tray itself) and we added an inline transformer to efficiently and safely convert your battery power to a clean 5v charging current.
To top it all off we include a laser cut cork mat to keep your everyday carry from rattling around to tunes while you blast your factory sub.
Install is as easy as running your power cable to the back of your dash 12V outlet and securing your ground cable through one of the screws holding the glovebox in place. Install requires the drilling of 7 pin holes in the dash shelf and dropping the glove box. It's not terribly difficult, but it helps to have an experience or two removing and replacing interior panels.
We purchase well reviewed chargers and modify them to order.
